Pin Up Glam Shots in Hammonton, NJ

While the term pin-up was first used in 1941, the style dates back to the 1890’s. The term pin-up is used because these photographs are meant to be pinned up. Pin-up girls are risque but never explicit; always fiercely independent- remember Rosie the Riveter.

IMG 8358 blog

While this style of photography waned a bit in popularity, it never really left. Lately it has again become wildly popular. It certainly is a fun way to spend a few hours. Hair and make-up are done followed by a portrait session. Who wouldn’t want their very own set of photographs emulating strength and sexiness?!

Bob and Mandy: Another Reason to Celebrate on March 20th

On March 20 of this year I was lucky enough to celebrate another birthday. How did I celebrate, you ask? Not in any ordinary way that is for sure. I celebrated my birthday doing what I love best, photographing a wedding. I spent my time with a beautiful couple, both inside and out, and their wonderful bridal party, who kept me laughing and smiling the whole time.

I love being able to capture both groom and bridal preps, they end up being so different from each other and unique to the individual.

Fourteen Week Fitness Challenge

In March, Hugo contacted me and told me about a 14 week fitness challenge he would be completing on April 5. Being inspired by Dr. Stoppani and wanting to see if he could complete the challenge, Hugo embarked on a journey that would transform his body and give inspiration to many. During this challenge, Hugo watched what he ate, how many times a day he ate, and worked out on a regular basis. Needing the “after” photographs and wanting to document how his body had transformed due to all the hard work, he asked me to do an extensive fitness photography session. I instantly agreed.

We had an awesome time photographing Hugo and can’t wait until he asks for another fitness shoot.

He obtained permission to use one of the rooms at the Island Gym in Ventnor, NJ. Thank you Island Gym for your kind hospitality. You all were so very helpful. We used a simple lighting scheme so that we could focus on Hugo’s transformation. The results were fantastic. I am extremely excited to share this post and these photographs with you. If anyone would like to know more about Hugo and follow him on his journey through fitness challenges or perhaps like to get started on a fitness journey of their own, you can follow him on Facebook (Hugo Jaramillo- Jaramillo Fitness) or on Instagram (Jaramillofitness). You won’t be sorry.

Please contact my studio 609-561-5322 if you are interested in a fitness shoot of your own. We can also be reached through email at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..

Waterfall Catering and Special Events

I am so excited to be announcing a new partnership.  I am pairing up with the Waterfall Catering and Special Events in Claymont, DE. I will be one of the featured photographers in their venue brochure coming out the January of 2015!

IMG_9233IMG_3381 rt

So to prepare, I called back two of my couples to put on their wedding attire one more time.  Of course the ladies jumped at the chance, the gentlemen might not have been quite as enthusiastic but humored us ladies for the day.

Chrissy from Charming Blossoms in Hammonton, NJ created such beautiful bouquets and boutonnieres.  I couldn't get over how lovely the bouquets were or how perfectly they matched each girls' gown.

Karen Zeigenfuss did the hair and makeup not only for Allecia but also for herself!

The couples, Allecia and Jason, and Karen and Dave, put up with some intense humidity and long hours of getting the absolute perfect shots--which we did of course.  Thank you all!  And thank you to Chrissy for the amazing arrangements and the Waterfall Staff for all of your help.

Goodbye Winter, Hello Spring!!!

IMG_2819-2 fb

Since we had a particularly chilly and snowy winter, I thought it to be appropriate to say goodbye to winter in style. This is the first year in my almost 10 years of photography that I had the pleasure of photographing a few weddings and a few engagement sessions in the snow! The only other time I have photographed portraits in the snow was a family photograph of my own family years ago. I had so much fun and the couples were amazing and so willing to walk and even play in the snow for the sake of some epic photographs!  And the first photograph is one I took at Longwood Gardens prior to one of the snowy engagement sessions.

She looked just like a princess out of a fairytale.

The smile from ear to ear showed not only on her but also on him.  This couple had so much chemistry and happiness.

We traveled all around Philadelphia getting the most fantastic shots of the couple.

They planned everything out perfectly.  The whole day flowed smoothly and effortlessly allowing myself and the second photographer the luxury of relaxing and focusing on the task at hand, capturing the couple's happiness and love.

All events, from the bride getting ready to the reception and everything in between was in the city.  Meghan an dBrad chose the Cescaphe Ballroom for their reception location.  Cescaphe offers a variety of add ons.  One important add on the couple chose was the Trolly service for the entire day.  It allowed the couple to keep their photographers with them all day long and then provided us with a ride back to our cars and guests back to the hotel after the partying came to a close.

Lindsay and Kyle

A chilly but beautiful day at Normandy Farms in Blue Bell, PA.  I adore this venue. White buildings, lots of land, and lovely glass.  It gave me the setting for some of my favorite photographs!

Kyle and Lindsay were so down to earth and very very nice. I loved how they interacted with eat other. It was a sweet little ceremony taking place inside a building with a wooden wall (how cool is that?). Loved all the belly laughing and fun we had!!

Nicole and Lee

Nicole and Lee had a gorgeous and exciting day.  The weather was perfect, the church magnificent, the reception hall was beautiful.  The DJ pumped out the latest hits combined with some oldies but goodies. Nothing was stopping this party!

Royal Pains Groom Look-a-like

Yes, Anthony looks like the actor from Royal Pains. At least in my opinion he does.

Anyway, it was a beautiful sunny day making this bride and groom shine even more.  The sun shone exquisitely through the bride's dress.  Though she didn't need the sun to make her radiant.

Kristen and Anthony shared a quiet moment together before I whisked them away to start capturing all the romance in the air.  I've never seen a bride smile the whole day like Kristen was. After proclaiming their love and saying their vows, we photographed the family while their guests sampled the delicious food. Excited and anticipating the meal and festivities to come.

A wonderful beautiful day to celebrate the couple and their love.

Special Wedding Offer...

I am a professional wedding photographer. I have been photographing weddings for 8 years now. I am currently mentoring a new photographer. She is learning the art of second shooting. I would like to compensate a 1 or 2 couples in 2013 for helping me help this second photographer. She has shot with me before, but has not been on her own and I would like to teach her a little bit more before sending her off to shoot on her own.

I would like to make sure the 1 or 2 couples are a good match. If you are interested please reply to this email with your wedding date, wedding reception location, a few photographs of the two of you, and a little bit about yourselves so that I can get a feel of your personalities. If I think you would be a good match I will call you to set up a consultation (this must be a face to face consultation), where we can discuss the packages I offer and the compensation I am offering for these two weddings.

Thank you for your interest!

"Pepper Designs"

IMG_0585rt 2 blog2

To celebrate the fantastic past 8 years in business, I have decided to launch a greeting card line.  Now, many of you may ask, "How? You only photograph weddings and portraits."  While photographing people is my passion, my father who for many years was also my second photographer loves photographing nature and landscapes.  So we often times go out and photograph landscapes, flowers, and architecture when I'm not photographing a wedding or family portrait.

I am launching the line with only two galleries because I am so very excited about it.  I want you to see them as soon as possible.  I will, however, periodically (especially seasonally) add new galleries and update current galleries so that you have more choices.  As a start, the cards are two different sizes, 4.25x5.5 and 5x7.  They are blank inside so that you can write your own personalized message.  They will come in packages of 8, 12, 16, or 20.  All cards will have a matte finish and be a traditional postcard stock at about 90lb cover weight. Envelopes are included, which have a linen texture.  I'm hoping to be able to offer the option of a variety of paper types.  But I'm getting ahead of myself right now.  Please feel free to come take a look at the galleries and check back often for new additions!

Please feel free to call with any questions: 609-561-5322

Matt and Veronica, Congratulations!

I had the pleasure of photographing this great couple's wedding. It was especially an honor considering that Matt and I are college friends having both attended St. Joseph's University.  I am happy to announce he found such a sweet, wonderful woman who is so perfect for him.

The church and ceremony were beautiful.

While it was a rather chilly day, the two kept each other plenty warm. Veronica wore a beautiful gown, while Matt wore an Eastern Style jacket(if memory serves me correct) with his tuxedo.

Her colors were red and black. The bridesmaids were in black dresses with red sashes. And the bride wore some awesome red shoes!  I had a blast shooting everything from the bride and groom, to their details, and an adorable flower girl and ring bearer, to the guests having fun!

Donna and Joe

Donna and Joe had a beautiful, intimate wedding at One Atlantic in Atlantic City on September 28th.  She wore a flattering black lace dress, while he wore a tailored suit.  Both looked awesome.

The weather wasn't great (it was a little rainy), but that didn't stop the love, fun, or me from taking some great shots of the happy couple and excited guests.

The setup for the wedding was unique, it was in the lobby part of the venue! Great job to One Atlantic for tailoring their wedding to fit them perfectly.

Stephanie agreed to model for me and she had the perfect dress.  We had Carmen from Salon 649 design the hairpiece, hairstyle, and makeup! Absolutely awesome! Runway worthy!!

We decided on an outdoor shoot at a little park in South Jersey.

Stay tuned because Carmen and I are working on some other themed shoots!

Laura and Brian

It was a hot summer day in July.  Beautiful and rain free!

Laura wore a gorgeous strapless dress with amazing details.  She carried a pretty pink bouquet.  Brian looked sharp in a 3 piece suit.  I swear men should wear these everyday! They are so classic.

They made a spectacular site, such a great couple.  It was a running joke that their love set off the fire alarm.  No, really! the fire alarm really did go off, while we were doing the formal portraits.  So instead of waiting around to get the ok to go back into the building.  We took some photographs with the firetruck! And firemen!

Their ceremony was amazing with the ocean in the background.  And the beginnings of a sunset.  We also were able to catch some fantastic shots of the happy couple on the balcony at sunset.

One Atlantic out did themselves once again with amazing pink lighting with the "Starry Night" theme for the reception and one heck of a backdrop for their ceremony!  And Kim from Rain Florists did the flowers. Absolutely gorgeous!

Great job, once again One Atlantic staff!
